Barcelona-Catalonia circuit: since 1991

Located in Montmeló, the Barcelona-Catalonia Circuit was inaugurated on September 10, 1991, thanks to the promotion of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the Real Automobile Club of Catalonia and the City Council of Montmeló. The Circuit hosted its first race just five days after its inauguration, the Spanish Touring Car Championship, while the first F1 Grand Prix would be held a few weeks later, on September 29.

The following season, the MotoGP Grand Prix was included in the Circuit's sports calendar, becoming since then and uninterruptedly the seat of the F1 Spanish Grand Prix and the MotoGP Catalonia Grand Prix, two of the most prestigious championships in the world of the motor, to which the BarcelonaRX is added, FIA World Championship of Rallycross.

The Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit racing season also includes other international championships, such as the FIM CEV Repsol International Championship, the Barcelona Speed ​​Festival and the International GT Open; endurance tests such as the 24 Hours of Motorcycling Catalonia, the 24H of Barcelona-Fermí Vélez Trophy and the CER (Spanish Resistance Cup); as well as local competitions that promote base sport such as the Catalan Motorcycle and Motorcycle Championships.

With the celebration of the F1 Grand Prix, the MotoGP Grand Prix, the FIA ​​Rallycross World Championship and other important motor competitions in its sports calendar, the Barcelona-Catalonia Circuit projects its name, and that of Montmeló, Barcelona and Catalonia, worldwide.

Apart from the competition activity, the Barcelona-Catalonia Circuit rents its facilities 365 days a year. The Circuit runs private and group trainings, driving courses, incentive and training days, world presentations and many more. In the other spaces you can also carry out any type of commercial, social or public relations activity.

The Barcelona-Catalonia Circuit also offers a wealth of experiences to enjoy the Circuit, such as rounds, Ferrari driving, guided tours, BiCircuit rounds, and many other activities to be performed in Montmeló.
